Ooookay so 3 weeks later we get to the final blog post from spring break. Oops, sorry. This one will be short anyway because Emily and I were in Lake Como for less than 24 hours. After waking up suuuuper early in Paris we made our way via Metro to the airport (did I mention I am a public transportation expert now?) and had no trouble except for when I embarrassingly got my entire bag stuck in the exit gate of the Metro and had to have 3 strangers help me get it over the door.
Our flight was non-eventful and we arrived in Milan but missed the next train to Como getting us an awkward 1.5 hour wait. We went and got some awful and overpriced pizza to fill the time and then finally got on the train to Como. As soon as we got off we immediately saw how beautiful the town was, and we hadn't even seen the lake! Our hotel was really nice and modern and was a short 5 minute walk to the lake. SO. BEAUTIFUL.

Seriously, this was one of the most gorgeous scenic views I had ever seen. After taking a million and one shots of the lake we walked around the cute little town which was mostly made up of cafes, restaurants, and little boutiques. There were little booths set up with vendors selling crafts everywhere and the whole place was just really adorable. We saw the duomo (haven't seen enough of those) and walked aimlessly around the cute town. It started raining a little bit but it was still sunny out so we kept at our sightseeing *THANKS FOR THE EDIT DAD*. Soon, however, the little bit of rain soon turned into a huuuuge storm. I hadn't heard thunder or seen lightening in so long so it was actually kind of nice. The storm rolling in over the lake was really pretty too (I should have snapped some pictures) Plus, Emily and I were exhausted so we weren't too heartbroken to go back to the hotel and watch BBC news (I had been out of touch with the world for so long)and nap. When the storm cleared we headed back into town for dinner and then walked around a little bit. The lake was just as gorgeous at night. We headed back early for bed though-- all the traveling had finally caught up to us.

The next morning after our complimentary breakfast (Spring break has taught me this is actually the best concept ever) we headed back into town and saw a little bit more of the lake and town. We were aiming to catch a 3ish train from Milan so we didn't get to see too much more, but honestly there wasn't that much more to see!** This part of the trip was definitely the most relaxed, which was such good timing for us. Once back in Milan we went to the Duomo there real quick. Fun fact: it's one of the largest churches in the world. After that we hopped on a train back to Firenze and our spring break came to a close.
**Sadly, we didn't get to see George Clooney.
Overall I absolutely LOOOOOVED my entire spring break. Every single part was completely worth it and I got to see so many things I had on my bucket list as well as a ton of other things I hadn't even thought of wanting to see. I literally would do nothing different. I saw so many of my friends and had amazing experiences. Shout out to Mom and Dad for helping me get the whole thing together both in planning and in $$, love you guys!
